About the Highland Mint (HM) 1 Oz Incused Indian Silver Round

An incused stamped round is much different from other more traditionally stamped rounds. Most of the time, when rounds are stamped, the design of the coin is raised up above the background, or "field." With incused stamped silver rounds, the design is instead sunken into the surface of the round, leaving a flat surface wherever the design isn’t present. This rare type of design stamp is extra durable and highly sought by many collectors. See the traditionally stamped version of this Indian Silver Round here.

Here are some highlights of this round:

  • Silver round weighs a minimum of 1 troy ounce.
  • Comprised of a purity of .999 fine silver bullion.
  • Incused stamped design leaves a flat surface where design is not present.
  • Design features iconic Indian head & American eagle design.
  • Minted by the Highland Mint in the United States.

This silver round is known in the industry as a bullion round, which means that the value of this coin is primarily based upon the silver content it contains. As the spot price of silver moves up or down, so does the value of this round; there are few other factors to worry about! This type of simplicity is desired by many investors who are seeking to place a straightforward bet on the price of silver.

This round features the iconic Indian head design on the obverse. In the center of the round appears the Indian with headdress. Stars appear around the outer edge.

The reverse shows the American eagle clutching the iconic bunch of arrows and olive branch, which symbolize war and peace. At the top appears “SILVER BULLION ROUND”. To the left of the eagle appear the words “.999 FINE SILVER,” specifying the purity and metal type. Underneath the manufacturer's mark “HM” appears (for Highland Mint). At the bottom of the coin is stamped “ONE TROY OUNCE,” specifying the weight of the coin.

The Highland Mint was established in the 1980s in Melbourne, Florida. In addition to minting silver and gold rounds, they are world famous for their official sports memorabilia (cards, coins, and other collectables). Quite a few investors use the Highland mint for custom precious metals products.

All orders from Monument Metals are discretely shipped, fully insured, and guaranteed as described.
